The Volandro Jospheris Story
From a single creative writing workshop to a comprehensive storytelling education platform - discover how we've grown alongside our community of writers and storytellers since 2018.
The Beginning
What started as weekend storytelling workshops in a small community center quickly revealed something powerful - writers were hungry for authentic, practical guidance that went beyond basic grammar rules. Our founder, Elena Richardson, noticed that traditional writing courses often missed the emotional core of storytelling.
Digital Transformation
The shift to online learning opened unexpected doors. We developed our signature methodology combining traditional narrative techniques with modern digital storytelling approaches. Our workshop attendance grew from 25 local writers to over 400 participants across North America.
Community Growth
Last year marked a turning point as we reached 1,200 writers in our programs. We expanded beyond individual courses to create learning pathways for different storytelling goals - from memoir writing to fiction development to business storytelling. Our alumni started their own writing groups and workshops.
Elena Richardson
Founder & Creative Director
Elena's journey into storytelling education began somewhat accidentally. After spending eight years as a technical writer, she started volunteering at a local literacy center and discovered her passion for helping others find their creative voice. Her background combining structured writing with creative expression shaped our unique approach - we believe the best stories emerge when imagination meets solid technique. Elena holds a Master's in Creative Writing from Vermont College and continues to write fiction while developing new educational approaches for our community.
Looking Ahead
As we enter 2025, we're expanding our reach while staying true to our core mission - helping writers develop authentic storytelling skills that serve them throughout their creative lives. Here's what we're building:
Expanded Course Library
New specialized programs launching in fall 2025, including advanced narrative techniques, genre-specific workshops, and collaborative storytelling methods designed for modern writers.
Global Community
Building connections between writers worldwide through virtual writing retreats, international story exchanges, and multilingual storytelling exploration starting in early 2026.
Personalized Learning
Developing individualized learning paths that adapt to each writer's goals, experience level, and preferred storytelling mediums for a more customized educational experience.
